Hi, I’m Tara 👋🏼 Hairstylist, perfectionist, professional overthinker, and firm believer that a good hair day can fix at least 73% of your problems. A little about me: I’m a born and raised New Yorker (like everyone else in Wilmington-I know) and we moved our little family to coastal Carolina in 2024. I’ve been behind the chair since 2013, specializing in (but not limited to) lived-in color and balayage. I continue to educate myself and take classes to stay updated on new techniques and trends to make your hair look like you just casually woke up this fabulous. My goal is pretty simple: I want you to leave The Cove feeling like the best version of yourself—with great hair and enough confidence to carry you to your next appointment.💁♀️ When I’m not making hair magic happen, you can usually find me at home, enjoying my mortgage with my husband, our daughter, and the bestest dog in the world. (Don’t argue. He’s THE best.) I’m pretty sarcastic, ✨appropriately✨ unhinged, slightly obsessed with all things hair, and I will make you laugh while I’m putting your color on. We created The Cove because we wanted a space that feels comfortable, welcoming, creative, and a little bit different. No salon drama. No surprise pricing. No weird pressure. Just good hair, good conversation, and a place where you can actually relax. Cancellation Policy
We understand that plans can change and life happens, but we kindly ask that you provide at least 24 hours’ notice if you need to cancel or reschedule your appointment. This allows us the opportunity to offer your appointment time to another guest.
Appointments cancelled or rescheduled with less than 24 hours’ notice will be subject to a fee of 50% of the scheduled service.
No-shows will be charged 100% of the scheduled service.
We truly appreciate your understanding and respect for our time. These policies help us maintain our schedule and provide the best possible experience for all of our guests.
